Fiftycents Notes

Based on the idea of publishing as artistic practice, the newly founded publisher of artists' books, fiftycents, focuses on the intersections between artistic practice, writing, and publishing.
We understand publishing not as a purely mediating or documenting activity, but as an independent artistic practice in which text, material, design, and circulation are interconnected.
Following concepts and theories around publishing as artistic practice per se the endeavour of fiftycents is not to follow a static theme but rather allow artists to experiment and showcase their work in the form of books.
